The Mixer
Uncle AB's is a rock and roll-themed line of non-alcoholic cocktail mixers built around Bengali pantry flavours.
The name came from my wife. I used to make pizzas at home for every party I went to, and Uncle AB stuck the way a nickname does when you keep showing up with the same thing. The pizzas eventually became a mixer brand, because making drinks nobody else is making takes the same instinct as pizzas nobody else was making.
Uncle AB's is non-alcoholic because a good drink shouldn't be restrictive. Everyone should be able to enjoy it their own way, with whatever they'd normally mix in, alcohol or none. That, and I genuinely believe the flavours I'm working with deserve to be tasted without alcohol getting in the way.
The flavour story
Bengali roots, borrowed accents. Gondhoraj lime from the northeast. Sundarban honey from the delta. Kokum from the Konkan. Malabar pepper from the southern coast. And a few classics that don't need any of that to work.
Everything is hand-made. Small batches. Made to order. No plans to go commercial - this is for people who want something made properly, not something made profitably.
The lineup
Gondhoraj lime up front, clove and Malabar pepper behind it: Bengali citrus with a southern kick. Built to stand up to a proper pour.
